We’re looking for a UX Writer to help shape the language behind our design system — someone who can turn complex design decisions into clear, human, and actionable guidance.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with our Design Systems Lead to audit, document, and refine more than 50 UI components.
From buttons to modals, you’ll define the voice, tone, and usage that makes our interface clear, accessible, and consistent across every product.
Your work will directly help designers and developers build faster and better through precise, well-structured documentation.
Responsibilities
- Audit and document 50+ design system components (usage, behavior, accessibility, and content)
- Define voice, tone, and style standards for UI copy and documentation
- Collaborate with the Design Systems Lead to ensure guidance reflects real-world design needs
- Create reusable content patterns for common UI scenarios (error states, empty states, CTAs, validation messages, etc.)
- Write before/after examples that show best practices and pitfalls
- Improve organization and discoverability of documentation in Figma and Notion
Requirements
- 3+ years of UX writing experience, ideally with design systems or component libraries
- Portfolio showing clear, structured documentation or UI content
- Strong collaboration skills with designers and engineers
- Experience using Figma and understanding component structures
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first, async-friendly setup
Compensation and Benefits
- $60–70 USD/hour, depending on experience and location
