Can you make a video look great and make people click?
STERRY is looking for a Video Editor who understands that a successful ad isn't judged only by how polished it looks. It also needs to perform.
The growth marketing agency works with crowdfunding and e-commerce brands and says its campaigns have generated more than $100 million in trackable online revenue.
For this role, you'll turn concepts, briefs, scripts, and raw footage into video ads designed for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
What you'll work on
You'll be involved throughout the video production process, rather than simply receiving footage for a final edit.
Your work will include:
- Turning creative briefs and raw footage into structured video ads.
- Selecting the strongest shots and building sequences around the story and campaign objective.
- Editing footage into rough and final cuts.
- Adding music, dialogue, graphics, transitions, and visual effects where appropriate.
- Making sure pacing and sequencing feel natural.
- Working with stakeholders during production and post-production to keep the creative aligned with the brand.
- Maintaining consistent quality across final deliverables.
- Testing new editing techniques and tools that could make the production process more effective.
Because these are performance-driven campaigns, you'll also need to understand how video creative connects with advertising results, not just the production side.
What they're looking for
STERRY is looking for someone with roughly 3–5 years of experience in video editing, digital advertising, or a closely related area.
Experience creating video ads for social and digital platforms is particularly important.
You should be comfortable with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, along with motion graphics software such as After Effects.
A relevant degree can help, but it isn't the deciding factor. STERRY makes it clear that a strong portfolio and proven hands-on experience can matter just as much.
You'll also need:
- A good understanding of digital advertising metrics.
- Strong visual storytelling and editing judgment.
- The ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organization and time management.
Previous experience working for a performance marketing agency or other online marketing business would be particularly relevant.
Why this role is different
This isn't purely a post-production position.
You'll be editing creative that is expected to generate measurable results, so you'll need to think about attention, pacing, storytelling, platform behavior, and performance while making creative decisions.
STERRY operates remotely with flexible working hours, and the work can reach audiences across multiple international markets.
How to apply
You'll need to submit your resume, cover letter, and portfolio.
For this position, the portfolio is especially important. Prioritize examples that show video advertising, social-first editing, motion graphics, and, where possible, creative work that produced measurable campaign results.
