Create video content built for e-commerce

Pomelo is looking for an experienced Video Editor to work remotely with a modern e-commerce brand, producing polished digital content designed to capture attention and support marketing performance.

The role covers a wide variety of formats, from social ads and short-form video to animations and longer-form content for websites and landing pages. It’s a good fit for an editor who combines strong technical execution with an understanding of branding, digital audiences, and current social trends.

What you'll be working on

You'll take ownership of video projects throughout the creative process, turning concepts and raw footage into finished assets ready for different digital channels.

Your work will include:

  • Editing video content for Instagram, YouTube, websites, landing pages, and other digital platforms.
  • Producing social media advertising, Reels, animations, and other marketing-focused video assets.
  • Transforming raw footage through editing, transitions, visual effects, audio, and sound design.
  • Taking projects from initial creative direction through final execution.
  • Adapting content for both short-form and long-form formats.
  • Maintaining a consistent visual identity across different channels and deliverables.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop video concepts around marketing and commercial objectives.
  • Keeping creative output visually current and appropriate for today's social platforms.
  • Supporting occasional operational or special projects when required.

What they're looking for

Pomelo is seeking someone with at least 3 years of professional video editing experience specifically within e-commerce.

You should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 3+ years of e-commerce video editing experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro or comparable professional editing software.
  • The ability to produce both short and long-form digital video.
  • Strong visual judgment and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of current social media aesthetics and content trends.
  • Experience creating content that works across different digital channels.
  • Professional-level English across written and spoken communication.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment.

E-commerce and social content

This role goes beyond simply assembling footage.

You'll need to understand how editing choices affect the way people experience content online β€” from the opening seconds and pacing to transitions, sound, visual hierarchy, and overall presentation.

The goal is to create content that is visually strong while supporting the brand's wider engagement and marketing objectives.

Tools

The role requires professional experience with tools including:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • Photoshop
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Final Cut Pro or similar editing software

A strong understanding of the complete post-production workflow will be important.

Remote working requirements

This is a fully remote position, but candidates need to be able to work a standard eight-hour day aligned with a US time zone, Monday through Friday.

Previous experience working overnight or graveyard schedules is also required.

You'll need your own computer and consistent access to a reliable high-speed internet connection.
