The Role
As a Senior UI Designer, you’ll be a key player in shaping digital design systems and user experiences across web, mobile, and emerging platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — UX, product, engineering, and copy — to deliver scalable, elegant, and intuitive digital solutions. Beyond execution, you’ll help define and evolve CourtAvenue’s approach to design systems, mentor junior designers, and advocate for design excellence at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and evolve scalable design systems ensuring visual and functional consistency.
- Translate complex requirements into intuitive, user-centered digital experiences.
- Partner with UX, product, copywriting, and engineering teams to deliver seamless designs.
- Design user journeys across multiple platforms (web, mobile, apps, retail, and emerging tech).
- Create prototypes to explore concepts, interaction models, and user flows.
- Advocate for UI patterns, accessibility standards, and design best practices.
- Present design decisions clearly, grounded in user research, brand expression, and business strategy.
- Support user testing and iterate designs based on feedback.
- Contribute to improving internal design processes.
- Mentor and guide junior designers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in digital product design with a focus on UI design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered, high-quality digital design work.
- Deep knowledge of responsive, mobile-first design and app experiences.
- Proficiency with design systems and component-driven methodologies.
- Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (plus adaptability with new tools).
- Strategic thinking skills with the ability to simplify complexity.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external teams.
- Agency background strongly preferred.
- Bonus: Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, telecom).
Contract Details
- Schedule: Must align with Central or Eastern Time Zone.
- Commitment: 40 hours/week, 4 months.
- Start: As soon as available.
- Requirement: Background check and drug screening (covered by CourtAvenue).
