Pack is looking for a Visual & UI Designer with exceptional visual craft to shape the look and feel of Pack.com, a gamified shopping platform built around mystery packs and physical products.

This isn't a conventional product-design position centered on research-heavy workflows or standard SaaS dashboards. The focus is much more visual: dark-mode interfaces, gaming-inspired digital art, motion, high-impact UI and conversion-focused e-commerce experiences.

You'll have significant creative ownership over how the Pack brand and product look, from its core interface to pack-opening sequences, rarity systems and marketing campaigns.

What You’ll Be Working On

You'll help establish the visual language of Pack.com and apply it across the entire product ecosystem.

Your work will include:

  • Defining and evolving the platform's visual identity
  • Establishing typography, iconography, lighting and color systems
  • Designing high-fidelity dark-mode interfaces
  • Creating mystery-pack and loot-box visuals
  • Designing rarity tiers, badges and reward states
  • Creating interfaces for pack openings, multipliers and wallet interactions
  • Designing physical-vault and redemption experiences
  • Developing micro-interactions and visual feedback
  • Creating particle effects, victory moments and unboxing sequences
  • Building polished UI kits and reusable component libraries in Figma
  • Establishing design tokens for consistent implementation
  • Preparing pixel-precise designs for developer handoff
  • Producing campaign graphics, social assets and launch creative

The goal is to combine the usability of a modern digital product with the visual energy and excitement associated with premium gaming experiences.

Where Gaming Meets E-Commerce

Pack sits at an unusual intersection of gaming culture, digital art and online shopping.

Rather than designing a traditional storefront, you'll help make shopping feel interactive and game-like. Mystery packs, rarity systems, rewards and animated opening experiences are all part of the product.

That means strong UX fundamentals matter, but visual execution is the real priority. Composition, typography, lighting, motion and atmosphere will be central to the role.

What Pack Is Looking For

Your portfolio will be one of the most important parts of your application.

Pack is particularly interested in designers who can demonstrate:

  • High-end visual and UI design work
  • Dark-mode web interfaces
  • Rich digital artwork
  • Custom iconography
  • Gaming, Web3 or iGaming visual identities
  • Strong typography and composition
  • Sophisticated use of lighting and color
  • Highly polished digital experiences

You should also have expert-level skills with:

  • Figma
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator

Alongside your visual abilities, you'll need a solid understanding of UX fundamentals, responsive design, grids and layout systems so your concepts can become functional, production-ready interfaces.

Gaming Culture Is Important

Pack is specifically looking for someone who understands contemporary gaming aesthetics rather than simply being able to imitate them.

Knowledge of competitive gaming, CS2 skins, loot-box mechanics and modern drop culture will help you understand the visual language and audience surrounding the product.

You'll also need to be comfortable working independently and taking a creative brief from initial concept through to polished final assets.

Additional Skills That Could Make You Stand Out

Experience in any of these areas would be valuable:

  • Blender
  • Cinema 4D
  • Spline
  • 3D modeling, rendering or texturing
  • After Effects
  • Rive
  • Lottie
  • Motion graphics and animation
  • UI micro-interactions
  • Gaming or iGaming products
  • Skin marketplaces
  • E-commerce
  • Streetwear or drop-culture platforms

The ability to create 3D assets or animate pack-opening and interface experiences would be particularly relevant.

Why Join Pack?

This is a role with substantial creative ownership.

Rather than working within a large design organization or waiting for multiple layers of approval, you'll have the opportunity to establish the visual standard for the product and see your work move quickly into production.

Pack offers:

  • Remote work within Canada
  • Long-term contract potential
  • Significant ownership of the product's visual direction
  • A fast-moving production environment
  • The opportunity to establish a visual system from an early stage
  • Backing from an established iGaming operator

Take Your Visual Design Craft Further

This one has a very strong Designlab match: Advanced Design Craft.

The role repeatedly emphasizes visual craft, composition, typography, color, high-fidelity UI and exceptional aesthetic judgment, which makes it considerably more relevant than forcing an AI-related course.

Designlab's Advanced Design Craft is built for experienced designers who want to strengthen their visual execution and create more polished, sophisticated digital product work.
