About Us: The Macallan Group (TMG) is a leading digital marketing and media company based in New Jersey. We specialize in delivering high-impact digital solutions for clients primarily in the healthcare and legal industries. As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking 1-2 talented freelance website designers to join our team on a project basis.

Position Overview: We are looking for experienced freelance website designers to work on a variety of web design projects. These projects will range from full website builds to landing pages and updates to existing websites. The ideal candidates will have a strong portfolio showcasing their website design work and must have a solid understanding of SEO and conversion-focused design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new websites and landing pages that are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for SEO.
  • Improve and enhance existing websites and pages to increase user engagement and conversions.
  • Collaborate closely with our in-house team of digital marketers, developers, and content creators to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Create responsive designs that work seamlessly across all devices and browsers.
  • Implement best practices in UX/UI design to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure that our clients' websites are modern and competitive.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a website designer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Expertise in web design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing for SEO and conversion optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Webflow, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with clients in the healthcare and legal sectors.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and how to implement them in web design.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and analytics tools to measure and improve site performance.

Compensation:

  • We offer flexible payment options, including flat-rate per project or hourly compensation, depending on the scope and nature of the work.
